Textile fabrics maker RadiciGroup invested 2.0 million euro ($2.4 million) during 2004 and 2005 in its polyamide fibre and tire cord plant YarNea, located in Savinesti, north-eastern Romania. Thanks to this investment, the Romanian plant significantly increased its production reaching 100 percent of production capacity, in the light of a future increase in sales.
Guido Castelluccio, Plant Manager says that the production volume of tyre cord exceeds half of the total plant production and it generates around one third of the annual turnover. YarNea invests up to 5% of its annual turnover in technologies and human resources.
YarNea posted a turnover of 18 million euro ($21.9 million) in the first half of 2005 and expects to register a turnover of 32 million euro by the end of the year.
