As per Use-based classification, the growth in August 2005 over August 2004 is 8.4 percent in Basic goods, 8.9 percent in Capital goods and 2.5 percent in Intermediate goods. The Consumer durables and Consumer non-durables have recorded growth of 13.1 percent and 9.7 percent respectively, with the overall growth in Consumer goods being 10.6 percent.
