Kraton Polymers continues to experience unprecedented raw material and energy related cost increases. New record prices are being set for our primary raw materials, and we are obliged to implement further price increases.
As a consequence, we are announcing a general price increase, effective no later than 1st August, 2008, of 200 Euro/MT in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for our SIS and SIBS polymers and compounds.
As a result of these same cost drivers, effective August 1, 2008 we are also announcing a general price increase of 150 Euro/MT in our Advanced Materials and Adhesives markets in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for our SBS and O/E SBS polymers and compounds.
We appreciate our customers' continued business and understanding as Kraton continues to manage these difficult, and volatile, economic challenges. We continue to strive to be the innovation leader, providing polymer solutions and value-added services that enable our customers to differentiate and succeed in their markets.
