Shopper's love affair with soft comfortable Supima knits in lasting colors continues to deepen.

Supima knit product was on display at booth after booth at the Coterie Women's Fashion Show. Coterie, which took place September 20th – 22nd on the piers on the Westside of Manhattan, was attended by retailers from all over the world who come to place orders for next season's merchandise.

Supima is making its way into top knit brands which include Michael Stars, Zooey, James Perse, Three Dots, Chip and Pepper and Splendid Mills. As outlined in the September Newsletter, Supima is becoming an important part of the underwear market in brands such as Woo and Bodas. Supima is also gaining a foothold in denim as well with gamed denim designer Adriano Goldschmied making Supima a key part of his new denim offering in his new brand GoldSign.

Supima's New York-based, Marketing Director, Buxton Midyette, attended Coterie. The show provided an ideal opportunity for Supima to interact with the brands that are using Supima in their collections. Even with the increasing adoption of Supima as the gold standard for knits, there is even more potential for growth in the Women's area such as denim and woven tops.

Supima Association promotes the increased consumption of US Pima cotton around the world and is involved in quality assurance and research programs. Founded in 1954, Supima is the promotional organization of the American Pima cotton growers. Supima's promotional activities is a licensing program in which select, high-quality textile mills, apparel and textile manufacturers, and retailers are granted a license to use the Supima trademark.
