According to the data recently released by Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), Vietnam earned high revenue by exporting textile and garments to various nations in the the first five months of 2008.
The country gained nearly US $4.43 million by exporting textile and apparel products to China in the month of May. The total revenue generated by shipping these items was approximately $17.6 million from January to May this year.
Export of textile and garment to Ukraine reached almost $2.30 million in May and $13.38 million in the first five months of 2008. Shipment to Sweden generated $2.85 million in the fifth month and $15.91 million from January to May respectively.
In the first five months of 2008, textile and clothing export to UK also brought high revenue for the country. Vietnam earned around $101.2 million from January to May and $19.42 million in the month of May alone.
