The National Bureau of Statistics recently announced the output report of major industrial products for July and it was observed that while yarn production for the month declined, the growth rate also slowed down significantly.
Yarn output in July of leading manufacturing enterprises reached 1.8541 million tons, down by 145,100 tons or 7.26 percent from the previous month and representing a meager year on year increase of 7.5 percent which is the smallest recorded in this year.
In the first seven months, total yarn output stood at 12.2026 million tons, reflecting a year on year increase of 10.8 percent. On the other hand, cloth production amounted to 31.824 billion meters, up 6.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
