Nghe An strives to enhance exports by 2010

Nghe An Province, by 2010, is planning to achieve its export target of US $8 to 10 million in the textile and garment sector. The region mainly exports apparel products to countries like the US, EU, Japan Korea, Australia.

For fulfilling its target, Nghe An implemented a project at Nam Cam Industrial park where by, they can enhance sewing capacity lines. In Addition to this the Province will also invest in technological innovations, human training and apply modern management method to improve product's quality and quantity.

Further it will also change business method right from processing to definitive purchase and sell, to increase its export turnover.

Now this province is seeking new markets for its products. Local companies are continuously investing in new designs so that they can serve domestic demand and export in a better way.

Sources from the Department of Industry and Trade of the Province, are of the opinion, that in coming period textile and garment sector is surely going to hold key position in local processing industry to generate jobs and increase export turnover.

In the first half of current year, Nghe An exported 3.1 million apparel products and 1.72 million knitwear, showing a increase of 30 percent over same period last year.
