A/W fabric trends confirms specialities & diversity count

Transparencies, metallic shine and lace make not only for a slightly frivolous chic but are, where possible, revisited in seductive black even with a Gothic feel to it and in a denim type or trash interpretation.

Supple wools, soft furs, wolf and bear skins, velvety surfaces and a colour scheme consisting of crystal-clear blue, dark green, natural white and coffee brown stand for the natural side of fashion which comes either with a wild slant or is poetically arranged with mauve, pink hues and pale apricot. Wool heralds a big comeback as a symbol of tradition and naturalness. At the same time, its natural utility properties soothe the new environmental conscience.

Dark colours are even echoed in sports and jeanswear. Multiple cross-dyeing and washes give denim pants fascinating blue shades. Furthermore, used looks are another focal point. Faded and stone-washed finishes make them look as if worn for some time already. Trashy moon and acid washes keep jeans freaks happy. Growing interest is being taken in eco-friendly products and the industry has responded to this development by extending relevant ranges.

The next munich fabric start – pre collections will run from Tuesday, 3 February 2009 to Thursday, 5 February 2009.
