The 5th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF), which began yesterday, will continue to draw buyers, sellers and visitors from mainland and other parts of the globe till September 25. The event is taking place at Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre and SMEs from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau are actively participating here.

There are nearly 6,000 booths that have been put up at the venue which are divided into 13 sections including machinery, equipment, textiles, garments, footwear, bags, handicraft, furniture and ceramics.

More than 100,000 visitors are anticipated to visit the exhibition center including almost 78 global companies like Wal-Mart, Glanz and Gree.

According to a decision that took place last year at the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM), the 5th CISMEF will also have an Asia-Europe SMEs Cooperation Hall, where many enterprises from member countries and regions will attend the fair for enhancing their overseas business and venturing into new deals.
