Non-woven thermostat fabric to alter clothing temperature

Nov '08
Recently a smart thermostat non-woven fabric, which can automatically alter according to the temperature, was launched by Yidong Non-woven Manufacturing Co, Ltd in Shanghai. This wonderful non-woven fabric product is manufactured by using phase-change fibre material newly developed by Julong Bofang Institute of Science and Technology in Beijing.

This fabric uses thermostat fibre, which carries a thermal storage function to monitor and store body's internal micro-climate environment. When ambient temperature is low, the fibre will automatically release stored energy.

An official from the company said, the smart thermostat nonwoven fabric is produced by coating the fabric material containing microencapsulated phase change fibres and it can be widely used in auto interiors, clothing, home textiles, footwear and gloves and other fields having a wider prospect of application areas.
