Official sources from Ministry of Industry and Trade recently released a statistical report on importing price of fibre for the mid week of November (from 10 to 16 November) this year.
The price of raw polyester 4D x 51mm imported from Korea saw downtrend, declined 8.8 percent in comparison with same period of previous month, stood at US $1,550 per ton.
The price of 100 percent polyester staple fiber (1.4Dx 38 MM Semi dull, A-Grade Raw White) quoted from Thailand witnessed the same trend of reducing 1.4 percent at $1,380 per ton.
The staple fibre (raw white non silicon) from Taiwan was $1,190 per ton (CIF).
The raw polyester (0.9 D x 32 mm) imported from China remained stable in price at $1,480 per ton, since the second quarter this year.
According to the local experts, the price of fibre imported into Vietnam was on the same trend at world market that was going through a downward trend due to reduction in price of oil.
