The fourth Handloom Expo was thrown open to the public at the Urban Haat in Dimapur, Nagaland on December 4, 2009. The expo is sponsored by the Development Commissioner for Handlooms and organised by the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (NHHDC).

The expo was inaugurated by the Parliamentary Secretary for Industries and Commerce, Mr Yepthomi who after going through the exhibition said that local entrepreneurs are slowly unveiling their talents through their products. However, he added by saying that they would need to work on a larger scale to make these products available outside the state.
