A minor fire was reported today at the new refinery under construction of Reliance Petroleum Ltd. in Jamnagar at a waste material site.
A spokesperson of Reliance Industries Ltd, parent organization of the company confirmed the news to fibre2fashion by saying that “There has been a fire in the project construction infrastructure area of the upcoming RPL refinery, where waste material was stored.
The fire has been extinguished and there are no injuries or casualties. The project activities of the RPL refinery and the operations at the Reliance Refinery complex are continuing normally.”
Reliance Petroleum is setting up a 580,000 barrels per day green field refinery cum polypropylene plant adjacent to its existing refinery and the group company's petrochemical projects in Jamnagar.
