An Iranian based, Cashmere manufacturing company has bought a former electronics company and is planning to start its first UK operations. This venture will create up to 60 new jobs in the Scottish Borders region.
The objective behind setting up the company in the first place was to take advantage of the skilled workforce available due to the thousands of redundancies in the Cashmere industry in the Borders region.
The second objective is to share their knowhow with other Cashmere manufacturing companies in the Border region companies Scottish. The company will start off by employing 20 people and gradually increase the head count.
