To conclude the interview we asked him to delve on the performance of his company and strategies for growth in the current year, to which he said, “The company is definitely hit due to the recession as a lot of projects have been postponed or cancelled and to counter the competition from synthetic carpets we are launching a complete new range of graphic designs in woollen broadloom carpets”.
“These are going to be similar in designs to the synthetic carpets being imported in to the country and we have already imported the machine for the same and would start commercial production from June 2009 and the group has also entered into a joint venture with a Belgium company for manufacturing of high end woollen carpets for the international market”, he concluded by saying.
