A four day workshop to discuss and chalk out strategies to increase the development and competitiveness of the textile sector is set to begin from today in Rwanda. It has been organised by the Rwanda Development Board in conjunction with the ACP Business Climate Facility (BizClim).
International and local textile industry experts have been invited to address key note lectures and identify the means to improve the competitiveness of the domestic textile industry. This workshop has come about a after a study was conducted on the state of the sector in the country.
Key policies measures are expected to be framed after the deliberations at the meeting. BizClim, an initiative of the EU has strived to improve the development of the textile and garment sector in the country and fully supports formulation of a strategic and action plan that will benefit the sector.
