Ethylene prices for CFR Northeast Asia gained sharply from those ruling at last Wednesday's level of US $891-893 per metric ton to $951-953 per metric ton and ethylene prices for CFR Southeast also jumped from $881-883 per metric ton to $971-973 per metric ton on July 1.
Ethylene prices in the FD Northwest European markets, though moved marginally from €670-675 per metric ton to €680-685 per metric ton yesterday. Ethylene prices for CIF Northwest Europe which had stayed stable on last Wednesday also grew from last weeks levels of $720-730 per metric ton to $740-750 per metric ton.
Prices of ethylene in the US market which had fallen on June 24 continued to do so on July 1 too and in the process fell back nominally from US cent 25.000-25.250 per pound to US cent 24.750-25.000 per pound.
