TEXFAIR 2009 to showcase latest in textile machinery

“TEXFAIR 2009”, a four-day International Textile Machinery, Accessories, Spares & Logistics Exhibition, the 5th edition in its series, being organized by the Southern India Mills' Association [SIMA] is ready to showcase the modern developments during July 24 – 27, 2009 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Avanashi Road, Coimbatore. The visiting hours are from 10.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

Mr .J.Thulasidharan, Chairman, Texfair 2009 has informed that Thiru Pongalur N.Palanisamy, Hon'ble Minister for Rural Industries, Government of Tamil Nadu, would be inaugurating the Fair. Mr. A.B.Joshi, Textile Commissioner, Government of India, Mumbai will preside over the function and Mr. C.R.Swaminathan, Chairman, CII – Southern Region will be the Guest of Honour at the inaugural function.

He has informed that the inaugural function has been scheduled between 10.15 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. He has further said that Mr. Sridhar Varadaraj, Chairman, Textile Machinery Manufacturers' Association (India), Mumbai, Mr. N. Subramaniam, Committee Member, Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers' Association, Mumbai and Mr. Umesh J. Shah, President, Textile Machinery & Mill Stores Merchants' Association, Coimbatore will offer felicitations at the function.

Mr. Thulasidharan has said that 104 exhibitors will be displaying their products / services in 135 stalls. He has said that the major products that would be displayed at the Fair would include textile machinery, spares, accessories, testing equipments, electrical and electronic components, etc. He has further said that apart from leading textile machinery, spares, accessories manufacturers / suppliers from Coimbatore, exhibitors from other States of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Karnataka would also display their products. He added that different countries that would be participating in the Expo would include China, Japan, and countries from European Union.

Mr. Thulasidharan has further said that textile mills on an average spend 2.5 to 3% of their annual turnover on spares and accessories and also plough back 4 to 6% of their annual turnover on modernization. He has said that Texfair 2009 would be an ideal destination for these mills to zero in their requirements, meet all the suppliers under one roof and prudently plan their investments, cut costs and improve the quality of the products they manufacture. He has further said that the Fair would also give an opportunity for the textile mills to plan their ongoing and future investments in the mills. He has appealed to all the textile mills to visit the Exhibition and derive maximum benefits.

Mr. Thulasidharan has said that around 30,000 visitors from all over the country covering Managing Directors / Directors / Executives and shop floor technicians are likely to visit the Exhibition during the four days.
