A PTA plant owned by Mitsubishi Chemicals located in Haldia, West Bengal had been taken off-stream on July 13 due to an unforeseen technical problem.
An official source from Mitsubishi headquarters in Japan confirmed to Fibre2fashion that the PTA plant with a total capacity of 470,000 metric tons per year has been restarted.
The source added by saying that the plant was restarted on July 17, ahead of the scheduled restarting date of July 20, as the problem was solved quickly.
