China's fabric production realized 5.1 billion meters in June 2009, an increase of 2.6 percent from the same time last year, and up 8.21 percent from the previous month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to June of 2009, China's cumulative production of grey cloth reached 25.8 billion meters, an increase of 0.2 percent year-on-year. In 2008, total fabric production had touched 52.7 billion meters in 2008.
China's yarn production fetched 2.21 million tons in June 2009, an increase of 13.6 percent year-on-year, and up 8.13 percent from the previous month and from January to June of 2009, it reached 10.9 million tons, up 9.4 percent year-on-year.
