Turnaround in aromatics unit of Kashima Oil

An aromatics production plant owned by Kashima Oil and located at Ibaraki, Kashima is to be taken off-stream under a pre-planned maintenance schedule.

According to a company official who spoke to Fibre2fashion, the plant will be shut down for a period of 45 days from early September.

The plant has a capacity to produce 400,000 tons of Paraxylene and 150,000 tons of Benzene at the new plant and 150,000 tons of Paraxylene at the old plant.
