Fibre2fashion spoke exclusively to Mr Sedat Almis, Trade Manager at Pagmat to know about the current situation of the textile sector in Turkey and measures taken by them to reduce the impact.

Mr Almis said that the situation is not so good, as there is still excess capacity within the sector and it is diffcult to foresee future trends due to economic crisis and due to weak demand we have also reduced production as done by many others”.

He added by saying that despite the fact that they manufacture fine count yarn, they also have been impacted by the recessionery trends, but are optimistic that things will improve in the near future.
