Propylene prices in the Far East region have been plunging since the last two fortnights continued to do on September 23 and declined by US $30 per ton, when compared with prices prevailing on September 16.
FOB South Korea slid back from $985-987 per ton recorded on September 16 to touch $955-957 per ton on September 23.
Propylene (polymerization level) for FD Northwest Europe and CIF Northwest Europe remained constant at levels prevailing on the previous Wednesday at €795-805 per metric ton and €785-795 per metric ton, respectively at closing hours, yesterday.
However, propylene prices in the US market, reversed trend of falling prices and in the process grew from US cent 50.380-50.630 per lb recorded on September 16 to US cent 52.255-52.505 per lb, on September 23.
