Body painting was showcased for two days at Indigo thanks to the Australian artist Emma Hack, one of the foremost practitioners of this ephemeral art. During her two body painting performances, visitors could witness, brush stroke by brush stroke, the creation of two living artworks created using patterns from the French studio Coloured Zebra and the British studio Design Union. This was a virtuoso event totally in line with the concept of a show highlighting creativity! Rich in individualities, Indigo showcases its exhibitors' creativity in a Fashion Area in the heart of the show. Presented on a large screen, exhibitors' patterns were inspired by themes proposed by the Première Vision/Indigo fashion team for autumn winter 10-11: "colours + back & white," "raw splendour", "to the fullest", "assembled florals" and "ironic classics".
As at each September session, the participation of 24 young "star" designers selected by the Texprint competition and the awarding of prizes by Harold Tillman, President of the British Fashion Council and Chairman of Jaeger and Aquascutum, were among the show's highlights. Much awaited for their originality and high level of technical expertise, these collections were applauded by buyers, as demonstrated by the number of sales registered as of the first day.
Upcoming shows DIRECTION by Indigo in New York 12 and 13 January 2010 Indigo Fashion Edition in Paris from 9 to 12 February 2010
