In textile production, the number of employees fell down by 20 percent to 25,000 workers and that of in clothing production to 16,000 workers.

There is a year-on-year increase in average monthly wage of the textile and clothing industry by 6.7 percent to Kc15,200. Average income of the workers in textile production was Kc17,700 a month, which is Kc3,800 more than in clothing production.
