Guangdong cracks down on illegal used clothing trade

Recently, Lufeng city in Guangdong Province launched a series of initiatives to fight against used clothing stores, by raiding and confiscating these used clothing from the stores.

As of October, Lufeng city had raided about 500 stores and warehouses which had illegal stocks of these smuggled used clothing and seized more than 140 tons of used clothing.

Recently the General Administration of Customs had also advised all town and city councils to collect and take action against this illegal activity.

Smuggling of used clothing is being done on a huge scale and the biggest fear is that these used clothing could pose potential serious hazards and diseases to the wearer of these clothing articles.
