Xerium unveils Formexx, unique forming fabric concept

Xerium Technologies, Inc., a leading global manufacturer of industrial textiles and rolls used primarily in the paper production process, unveiled Formexx, a unique forming fabric concept utilizing newly patented technology designed to improve sheet quality while lowering papermaking costs.

By combining Engineered Drainage Channel technology with very high sheet-side open area, Formexx offers stability and rapid drainage that is ideal for the most demanding forming zones. Formexx enables higher sheet quality and an extended operational window with reduced energy consumption. The built-in mechanical stability also ensures consistent operation compared to traditional SSB and MD-bound products.
