The week under report brought only few business transactions for merchants in the local market. Inquiry and demand by the spinning mills was still existent.
However, the conclusion of contracts failed as the different price ideas could not be bridged. Available cotton kept its high price level due to the consisting demand in Far East and remained so far unaffected by the development in Dubai.
Turnovers in this market were reported in Upland cottons from Central Asia and from West Africa for the first quarter 2010.
