The Scottish Liberal Democrat leader, Mr Tavish Scott has called upon Minister Alex Salmond to help save jobs in the textile sector in the Borders' region.
This appeal is following the closure of one of Scotlands oldest mill; JJ&HB Cashmere Mills in Innerleithen, which went in to administration.
Replying to the appeal of Mr Scott, the Minister said it was a important point and that he would follow up the same with the Finance Secretary John Swinney.
Around 170 jobs have been lost due to the closure of JJ & HB Cashmere Mills and it is also amongst the many which have shut shop in the recent months.
