On the occasion of World Expo Shanghai 2010, the committee of Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival decided to hold the Shanghai Fashion Cultural Festival in May 2010. This event that was previously held in March every year since 2000, is being rescheduled to coincide with the World Expo. Further, the committee decide to divide Fashion Shanghai into two separate exhibitions : a fabrics exhibition on March 10-12, 2010 and an apparel exhibition on May 19-21, 2010.
“MODE SHANGHAI”, newly baptized for the upcoming apparel exhibition by the festival committee, continues to be the leading international fashion trade show in Shanghai and will be the highlight event of the Shanghai International Fashion Culture Festival, which is organized by the Shanghai Municipal Government.
During the World Expo Shanghai 2010, the City of Shanghai will attract more than 400,000 visitors per day from all over the world, and MODE SHANGHAI will be strategically the best platform of the business for fashion companies to secure their strong positioning among both global and local clients.
