65th All India Textile Conference concludes on grand scale

The Chief Guest Honourable Minister of State for Textile, Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi narrated about the formation of Fibre Policy by the end of this financial year for the benefit of Textile Industry in reply to the question raised by Shri Mukund Chouhdary, Managing Director, Spentex Industries Limited.

Minister of State for Textile, Mrs. Panabaaka Lakshmi & Honourable Minister of State for Heavy Industries Mr. Arun Yadav assured all assistance from Central Government for promotion of Indian Textile & Clothing Industry.

Shri Nitin S. Kasliwal, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, SKNL has been honoured with Honorary Membership for his commendable contribution to the Indian Textile & Clothing Industry. Also Dr. G.S. Nadiger, Honorary FTA, Shri V.A. Trivedi, Service Gold Medal, and the Service Memento to Shri S.M. Dalal & Shri K. Gopalan awarded by the Textile Association (India). The best Unit Trophy has conferred to Madhya Pradesh Unit.

Valedictory & Concluding
On 25th January 2010, the Valedictory & Concluding day, Chairman, TAI MP Unit Shri Arvind Kumar Upadhyay welcomed the Chief Guest Shri Abhay Chhajlani, Chairman, Nai Dunia followed by eminent industrialists and speakers.

Shri Abhay Chhajlani, in his speech narrated the present status of Textile Industrialist and what was earlier.He called mass participation among Industrialist & Technocrats to save prestigious Textile Industry from sinking.

In all three days conference, there were 28 technical papers in nine sessions in difference fields of Textile presented by many eminent personalities from India including IIT, IIM, Overseas, and also by technocrats from various Industries across the world. Dr. P.G. Bhat, Chairman, Technical Paper Committee, lamented that most functions failed to start the scheduled time. The quality of papers presented at the conference was praised by one and all. About 46 Exhibitors from all over the Country were exhibited their products for the benefits of participants / delegates.

The 65th All India Textile Conference & TAIEx-2010 Exhibition turned out a grand success with over 800 participants gained much from the discussions and deliberations held. This was a grand event in the history of the Association since its inception of 70 years. The Textile Association (India) – Madhya Pradesh Unit once again shown after its enormous success in 1956, 1984 & 1991.

Host unit received generous praise for the excellent organizational efforts within a very short span of time that had gone into the management of the event and the hospitality extended to dignitaries, visiting delegates, Exhibitors and speakers.

On the whole, it was a very successful event, which deservedly received all round appreciation and applause. Shri A.K. Upadhyay, Shri S.K. Pandey, Shri Yuvraj Bhosale, Shri R.C. Gupta, Shri Ajay Saxena, Shri T.B. Roy, Shri Manish Pancholi and all the sub-committees deserve a special mention.
