Mr Trivedi of TAI-Ahmedabad receives Service Gold Medal

The 65th All India Textile Conference and TAIEx 2010 Exhibition was held at Indore on 23rd to 25th January 2010 hosted by The Textile Association (India) (TAI) – Madhya Pradesh Unit on the theme “Global Textiles – Business Process Optimization”
This conference was supported by the Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and SKNL was the Lead Sponsor, while India ITME Society, CHT, Rieter, Maral Overseas, Spentex, Vardhaman, STI India Ltd., Ambuja Spinners, Ritspin, Jajoo Group, Vippy Spinpro ltd., A.T.E., Sutlej Industries, LCC, Trident, Proma Group, Huntsman, Banswara Syntax & Alps Textiles were the co-sponsors and supporters.
During the conference, a few eminent personalities were honored for their exemplary services to the development of the textile industry in India. One of them was Mr VJ Trivedi, Hon. Secretary of The Textile Association (India) Ahmedabad chapter, who received the 'Service Gold Medal' from the hands of the Minister of State for Textiles, Smt. Panabaaka Lakshmi. Mr Trivedi has also been honoured by TAI with memontos on several occasions in the past.
Mr. Trivedi is well known in the textile circles of Gujarat and at the national level due to his prominent and dynamic role in the Textile Association. Mr. Trivedi is Patron Member of Association and has been working in various position of Ahmedabad Unit since three decades.
Mr. Trivedi successfully organized a Textile Conference during his tenure as Secretary in 1998 and an International Conference with an exhibition in 2008 and was instrumental in getting best unit trophy six times.
He has been also conferred with several awards like Best Representative, Best Committee Chairman, Service Memento of Unit as well as Service Memento of TAI-Central.
Shri Trivedi has attended many textile conferences at national level and visited ITMA'05 Singapore, ATME-I'2006 Atlanta, USA, ITMA-2007 Munich Germany, ITMA-Asia'2008 Shanghai, China.
Mr. Trivedi has more than 15 years of vast experience of having worked in Bharat Vijay Mills (Sintex Industries) in textile testing department. He started his own business in 1983 in the name of M/s Jyoti Laboratory which has completed 25 years and celebrated Silver Jubilee recently. He also started another business in 1990 on manufacturing of specialty chemicals in the name M/s Alchem Enterprises.
Speaking about objectives of the TAI – Ahmedabad unit he says, “Our main objective is to promote knowledge, technology and consultancy in the textile fields like; Dyeing, Printing, Finishing of fabrics and garments and we have distinct leadership in textile testing in Ahmedabad.”
