TenCate wins various US armor contracts

02
Mar '10
TenCate Advanced Armor USA has won various vehicle and personal protection armor contracts amounting to approximately US$ 25 million, with a contract option that could result in additional sales of US$ 10 million.

These orders come from several American military vehicle OEM's, such as General Dynamics Land Systems and BAE Systems, and also include orders directly placed with TenCate by the United States Army. Due to a focused broadening of current product lines and the portfolio of customers, TenCate Advanced Armor USA now enjoys a more balanced and diversified business base than that seen in years past and the market group has positioned itself well for the future.

TenCate Advanced Armor USA is involved in a wide array of programs, each with unique ballistic protection systems, such as those for armored Humvee's, Stryker, FMTV and SAPI. This market group is also successful in supplying armor composite materials, such as the unidirectionally reinforced Aramid Shield product line.

The strength of TenCate Advanced Armor resides within the company's extensive portfolio of light weight ballistic protection systems, its wide understanding and application of material sciences and its design capabilities that support providing the Vehicle, Aircraft, Watercraft and Personal Protection markets with unique and dedicated survivability systems.
