As part of the 8000inc partnership with the Amateur Athletics Association Barbados (AAAB), 8000inc will also be sponsoring the National Secondary Schools Championship, March 13th to March 17th, at the National Stadium in Barbados. At this event, televised by CBC and covered by the radio stations, the 8000inc designed national team clothes and kit will be launched to the public. The organisers are expecting 35,000 fans to be present for each of the 5 days.
The sponsorship includes promotional boards and banners placed around the track and highlighted in front of the grand stand. Additionally, the 800m races, qualifying to final, will be named the" 8000inc 800m". Members of the public will be able to purchase the AAAB National Team shirts, fans shirt and kit at the stadium. The media coverage will inform all viewers, listeners, and the crowd, of the 8000inc on-line store for further purchases of both the AAAB line and the entire Brand8000 exclusive collection.
"When we started the partnership with the AAAB, we all knew the potential of what we were trying to accomplish. Improve facilities, improved access, and support for athletes and coaches alike. What we didn't expect was how quickly and how far the project would progress in such a short time."Thomas Kelly, CEO 8000inc, also added, "The realisation of the long term plan is becoming a reality with the ultimate target of a full 8000inc National Stadium. This we all believe is an achievable goal and will become a long lasting legacy."
