Aspen 2010 will continue to be hottest fashion event

Aspen, home to winter luxury, announces that the 2nd Annual Aspen Fashion Week will take place from March 14th to March 19th, after a teaser in 2009.

Aspen Fashion Week is a destination fashion event designed to showcase and market winter resort, ski and technical outerwear in the home and playground of the most stylish (mountain)
winter town. With high-energy slopeside runway events, daily après ski fashion shows, in-store presentations, on-mountain events and late night fashionable soirées, 2010 will continue to be the hottest fashion, lifestyle and consumer event to hit the Rockies.

“The second Aspen Fashion Week is quickly developing into a must on the fashion and entertainment calendar,” said Lisa Johnson. “Aspen is prime for an event of this caliber; world class designers, young designers and brands with unique art programs, film screenings, models and music. The opportunities are limitless, truly limitless.”

W magazine will kick-off the week long event with their annual opening night party. The schedule will include on-mountain activities with Heidiski (Heidi Blum), Marmot (Pro skier Nick DeVore), Kjus (Olympic Gold Metal winner Lasse Kjus), and High Society Free Ride. All day access to the Aspen Club & Spa. All day make-up services by JUICE BEAUTY at The Sky Hotel. In-store events with J. Crew (featuring Creative Director Jenna Lyons), FEED and Ralph Lauren, James Perse, Marmot, and The Gallerie, Pitkin Co. Après ski fashion shows and presentations with Marmot, Kjus, Victorinox, D&E, Helly Hansen, Obermeyer, Wellensteyn, Authier, Gray, Gabriel Conroy, DANNENMANN-PURE, and Christian Siriano. Screenings of Douglas Keeve's films - Hotel Gramercy Park, Seamless, Unzipped and Fashion Kingdom aka Naomi Conquers Africa,hosted by Naomi Campbell. FEED Founders Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson will host an evening of music with John Forte at Aspen's famous Belly Up.

The Aspen Fashion Week 2010 media partners include W magazine, Aspen Magazine, Aspen Peak, SNOW magazine, Plum TV and LUXE magazine. Plum TV will be on site producing daily live content that will include interviews with VIPs, celebrity designers, and editors (as experts in their field). Confirmed hotel partners include The Sky Hotel, St. Regis Aspen Resort, The Little Nell, Aspen Meadows Resort, Limelight Lodge, Hotel Aspen, the Molly Gibson and Frias Properties. JUICE BEAUTY, the Organic Solution, is the skincare partner and will announce their celebrity spokesperson on-site, at Aspen Fashion Week. Quintessentially, a private members club with global concierge service, has partnered with Aspen Fashion Week to create travel packages and be the onsite concierge. Famed celebrity hairstylist David Babaii is the event's official stylist and will be providing haircare products from David Babaii for Wild Aid collection, an exciting line of products in collaboration with Kate Hudson.
