Resolved to represent to the Central Government to control the yarn exports with a fact that when yarn is exported the average price is Rs.150/- per Kg. whereas when garment is exported, it fetches Rs.750/- per Kg., the minimum value addition of five times than the yarn prices. Apart from, there is a generation of more employment due to subsequent processes from yarn stage to garment and also employment in the accessories side. Due to this, the Government has to control the yarn exports, so that the yarn prices in the domestic market will come down.
Resolved to request the buyers uniformly to enhance the garment prices upwards by 18% to 20% immediately after considering the increased in dyeing charges in the range of Rs.15/- to Rs.20/- per Kg. for protection of environment, increased yarn prices by 25% and increase in the other cost of production.
