One of the nano-fibre producers of Korea, 'Finetex EnE' has signed a business contract of $73 million with US textile giant 'Polartec'. As per the contract, Finetex EnE will provide its newly-developed water-proof and breathable nano-scale fibre for the next seven years to Polartec.

After signing the agreement with Andrew Vecchione, CEO, Polartec, Park Jong-chul, CEO, Finetex said, “This deal is a result of Finetex's high-tech technology in the development of nano-fabrics. The company will improve its production capacity soon to supply additional raw material to Polartec.”

Polartec produces high functional textiles for The North Face and other outdoor wear markers and has recently developed water resistible and air permeable textile called “Power Shield Pro”. To manufacture this fabric, the US firm will use nano-fibre membrane purchased from Finetex.
