Charity Soccer Cup under patronage of GDS

On Ascension Day it's all about a good cause at the second GDS Charity Soccer Cup. Ten teams from the fashion and media industries will be lacing up their soccer shoes on 13 May for the benefit of the St. Raphael Children's Home (www.sankt-raphael-haus.de). The tournament is organised by Eddi Mackowiak of E.M. Project, with GDS – International Event for Shoes & Accessories once again acting as sponsor.

"The premiere in 2007 was a lot of fun for all of the teams. Now we're going to go one better," exclaims organiser Eddi Mackowiak, who has been setting accents for many years with the Design Attack area. And GDS Director Kirstin Deutelmoser adds, "It is our goal to exceed the 7,000 euros we raised at the last event. After all, next to all the fun it is about an important cause here."

The playing venue is the Grafenberg Gymnastics Club in Düsseldorf. Kickoff with a celebrity is planned for twelve o'clock and the victory ceremony for six pm. Tickets for the general public go for five euros. The following teams have already confirmed: GANT All Stars, DIESEL Italia, KULT, Team Design Attack / GDS, KOMET und HELDEN, and BONDI Marketing / Dr.Martens.

The next GDS / GLOBAL SHOES trade fairs take place from 10-12 September 2010. For 2011 the dates are 16-18 March and 7-9 September.
