Acrylonitrile prices remained unchanged at higher level around RMB 21300/ton and were still under high pressure from upstream.
Speculators expected price to remain firm at current level as demand from downstream is high. Asahi Kasei has announced that it's Acrylonitrile 'F E Asia Contract Price' for May is US$ 2200/ton unchanged from the last month price.
Acrylic Staple Fiber market continued to remain steady. Market speculators expecting price hike in the line with increasing raw material cost. During April Avg. import prices to China for ASF touched US$ 3.00/kg. Prices elsewhere in the region have hit US$ 3.10/kg.
