Industrial production up 2% in Sept 2005

Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia released the Industrial Production Indices for Septembet 2005. The Statistical Office also released Stock Indices And Productivity Index, Slovenia, September 2005.
In September 2005 industrial enterprises produced 2% more industrial products and services than in September 2004.

The purpose of the industrial production index (IPI) is to monitor current monthly changes of industrial production value. In theory the IPI shows developments in value added at factor cost in the observed month. The index is calculated on a basis of measuring turnover and value of stocks.
Productivity index
The productivity index is defined as the ratio between the industrial production index and the index of persons in employment.
In September 2005 industrial enterprises produced 2% more industrial products and services than in September 2004.
