From January to April 2010, China's foreign trade value of import and export reached US $855.99 billion, up 42.7 percent year on year. Of which, exports stood at $436.05 billion, up 29.2 percent year on year; while imports touched $419.94 billion, up 60.1 percent year on year.
In the same period, China's textile exports grew steadily. Total textile and apparel exports fetched $53.79 billion in the first four months of this year, up 15.55 percent year on year. In April, textile and garment shipments reached $14.54 billion, up 32.16 and 16.42 percent from the previous month and year-on-year, respectively.
Among them, April exports of textile yarn, fabrics and other products realized $6.393 billion, up 24.84 percent year on year, while shipments of apparel and accessories registered $8.151 billion, up 10.57 percent year on year, 21.79 percent higher than the growth rate of the same period last year.
