The June edition of Asia's Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair (6FJ) will be held in Hong Kong from 24 to 27 June in Halls 5C, D, E, F & G of the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The Fair is the biggest mid-year international trade fair of its kind in Asia. In 2009, more than 4,200 buyers from 83 countries and regions and 430 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions participated in the Fair.

With bigger exhibition space now available at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre following last year's expansion work, the Fair will move to HKCEC from AsiaWorld-Expo and will be held alongside the June Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. The new arrangement means both exhibitors and visitors can conveniently participate in two complementary industry events under one roof, enabling them to conduct business more efficiently.

This year, the Fair features more than 400 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions. Among them, Australia, Dubai, Greece, Japan, Netherlands and Turkey are new participants. The other participating countries and regions include: mainland China, Egypt, France, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.

Group pavilions housing exhibitors from mainland China, France, India, Korea, Philippines, Spain and Taiwan will also be featured, giving buyers a wider range of products to choose from, including the various specialities of each pavilion.

Celine Lau, director of Jewellery Fairs of UBM Asia Ltd said, “We trust buyers from around the world will visit the Fair. As of 19 May 2010, buyers from 46 countries and regions have already registered online. Of these pre-registered buyers, over 70% are from overseas. The pre-registration figure is very encouraging, and for us they further confirm that the Fair enjoys market recognition worldwide.”

Ms Lau continued: “I believe the steady global economic recovery we've been seeing over the past few months, especially in Asia, will stimulate purchases at the Fair. Buyers should also not miss the opportunity to update themselves with the latest market trends and explore collaboration with potential suppliers.”
