Pratibha Syntex celebrates World Environment Day

Pratibha Syntex in Pithampur takes up Green Cause on World Environment Day, Greening & Cleaning its area of operation becomes mantra of the day. Joining hands with the rest of the world, Pratibha Syntex observed World Environment Day at Pithampur Plant. The observance was in keeping with the global theme for the present year's World Environment Day, 'Many Species. One Planet. One Future'.

The day was flagged off by a tree plantation by Mr. Shreyaskar Chaudhary, Managing Director and CEO of the company. While speaking on the occasion, he stressed the need for industries to invest in R&D to find newer methods to reduce consumption of all inputs to address the future challenge that climate change will bring about. “If we don't care for environment, nobody will care for us,” said Mr. Chaudhary.

Pratibha also organized a cleanliness drive at the factory premises. “The cleaning drive was from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (Saturday, June 05, 2010) to create awareness about the environment. There were 50 volunteers from different departments of the company who participated in the drive,” a company official said.

Addressing the volunteers and children of the colony, Mr. Chaudhary averred that the day is a reminder for all of us to promote alertness regarding scorching issues of environment pollution, drastic climatic changes, green house effect, global warming etc. He requested children to come forward for protecting the environment and becoming agents of sustainable and equitable development.
