Sunderland of Scotland, one of the world's most renowned golf weatherwear brands, is to launch a brand new collection for Autumn/Winter 2010 featuring new products and significant updates to its current range.

The company's superb Men's Collection features the new 'Resort' and 'Links' waterproof jackets, replacements for the iconic and best-selling Player and Club jackets but, as with their predecessors, these outstanding products have been designed to offer golfers high-performance, affordable weatherwear.

Available either as a full jacket or weatherbeater with zip-off sleeves, 'Resort' features an ultra-soft laminate outer for comfort and delivers fantastic protection from the elements.

It's waterproof, windproof and highly breathable - with a sharp, modern cut to enhance playability - and features a micro-mesh liner, YKK front and pocket zips, cuff and waist Velcro adjusters.

Additional design touches to keep golfers dry and warm on the course include a high-neck, droptail hem with twin shock-chord adjustment and half elasticated comfort cuffs.

The new 'Links' jacket is destined to find an army of fans among regular club golfers and represents fantastic value while retaining exceptional water repellency and performing to the highest standards in even the most adverse conditions.

Designed as a full jacket in three colour combinations, 'Links' boasts a wealth of features including a waterproof, breathable lining, YYK storm zips and zip pocket welds and like the 'Resort' it benefits from Velcro cuff fasteners and an inside scorecard pocket.

For lady golfers, Sunderland's best-selling 'International' and 'Classic' women's jackets are among the most contemporary and stylish golf weatherwear and gorgeous new colours have been introduced for the autumn/winter 2010 Women's Collection.

The ultra-soft lightweight stretch laminate fabric in the 'International' provides outstanding protection in even the most challenging conditions, making this an essential piece of weatherwear, and the new colour combinations comprise Lilac/Purple and Mermaid/Turquoise.

Sunderland's women's range delivers confidence on the course through a unique combination of elegance and comfort and this is clearly evident in the updated popular 'Classic' jacket, now available in smart and contemporary Purple/Lilac and Light Turquoise/Mermaid.

Launching the new Sunderland Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection, marketing director, Brian Mair, said: “We're delighted to be introducing new products and making changes to the existing collection that will continue to establish Sunderland at the forefront of the weatherwear market.

“The new 'Resort' and 'Links' jackets prove that golfers can be given outstanding performance at sensible prices and we're confident they will prove to be as popular as their predecessors.”

Sunderland's 2010 autumn/winter collection is completed by the top-of-the-range Tournament and Whisperdry men's rainsuits, a full range of windshirts and vests, bonded fleeces for cold weather, accessories and UV sunwear - outstanding polo shirts offering up to UPF50 sun protection.

Sunderland was founded in 1911 as a clothing company and began making golf apparel in 1932. Selected over the years for Ryder Cup, Curtis Cup and Solheim Cup teams, Sunderland epitomises quality and playability, ensuring end users of lasting wear and reliability.
