Santana Textiles a Brazilian based textile producer is planning to double production in its denim manufacturing facility in Argentina by investing US $30 million.
After the planned expansion, denim production will touch two million meters per month and worker strength will increase from 350 to 600.
The plant which is located in Puerto Tirol in North Argentina, will also witness its cotton consumption jumping from 10,000 tons to 20,000 tons per annum.
Santana set up the plant ion 2008 at a cost of $49 million. The new total denim capacity will help it meet 50 percent of denim demand in Argentina.
