DyStar Group is proud to announce the recent installation of a Color Solutions International (CSI) Studio at its facilities at Rabale, Navi Mumbai. A unique and first of its kind in India, the DyStar CSI Studio was inaugurated by Mr. Manish Kiri, CMD of the DyStar Group, on 2 June 2010.

Noting the rapid growth in the Indian textile market and the quests for fashion pertaining to anything from garments, to accessories, textiles and home furnishings, DyStar has decided to install the CSI Studio in hope to assist and help keep the local brands and retailers abreast of world trends, colors and fashions.

The shifting market demands are pushing many local brands and retailers to review their methods of color communication. And, as a leading service provider in the field, CSI has pioneered the advances in color communication by providing international brands and retailers with accurate color standards, helping designers realize their color inspirations and providing color consistency throughout the entire textile supply chain.

The Certified Color Standards by CSI are being produced and reproduced at tight tolerance (0.5 DE CMC 2:1) against a constant master electronic standard. The certification process ensures color accuracy and consistency from season to season. In addition, CSI provides the vendors and textile mills with spectral data of the color standards, which allows for rapid color development at the textile mills. The Certified Color Standards have been proven to have reduced lab-dip process for brands, retailers and textile mills by at least 50%.

Other unique and complimentary services offered by DyStar at the CSI Studio include a CSI ColorWall which is often being used as a source of inspiration and as a design tool for color communication (storyboards, etc.). The tactile system is another useful tool which designers can use to create their seasonal color palettes, which can then be communicated with Certified Color Standards to the rest of the supply chain. One other service which one can find at the DyStar CSI Studio, is color fine-tuning where colors are custom-matched on different textile materials such as cotton, polyester or nylon substrates, allowing customers to achieve the desired color under specific light sources requirements.

In addition, the DyStar CSI team offers tailor-made shades to accomplish a particular set of fastness requirement and ensure that the shade is achievable in bulk production. These powerful tools and services coupled with the product and technical expertise of DyStar (eco-friendly dyes, re-engineering of color on multiple substrates) provide an unparalleled method for color communication throughout the entire textile supply chain.

Color Solutions International is the leading service provider in color communication for the entire supply chain. It provides reliable color standards to major retailers and brands along with a variety of flexible color options and services.
