Members of the Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organisation (ICHHTO) informed that, Munich's Villa Stuck Museum, in Germany, is intending to organize a contemporary Islamic art exhibition starting from September 2, 2010 to February 15, 2011. A group of imminent Iranian handicraft artists are most likely to partake in this expo.
Four skilled Iranian artists in various handicrafts disciplines will be hand-picked to participate in the expo. As per Tahmineh Daniali, Head of ICHHTO's Handicrafts Department, of the four, two have already been selected, namely, Mehmoush Besharat and Morteza Naddaf, who paint on glass and burnt wood work.
The first ever expo was help in Munich, Germany, in 1910, which showcased over 3,500 goods of Islamic art and artifacts. Now, post a century, Munich is paying tribute to that first show, by conducting yet another Islamic art exhibition.
