Nylon POY prices fall. DTY & FDY trends stable

In Asian market, June contract prices assessed around US $2,630 / ton. Japanese caprolactam producers nominated July contract prices at around $2,500 / ton while, DSM fibre intermediate producers nominated July contract prices of caprolactam around $2,400 / ton. In Chinese market caprolactam prices remained stable around RMB 19,150 / ton.

In Asian market, due to sluggish sales, the major producers continued to seize their spot offers for SD Nylon 6 Chip in the range of $2,800-2,860 / ton. In Chinese market the buying sentiment improved slightly but transactions remained limited in parallel to the weak feedstock markets. Nylon chips prices remained stable around RMB 22,500 / ton.

Nylon POY price moved down by RMB 100 / ton and its new price was assessed around RMB 25,300 / ton. Nylon FDY and DTY prices remained stable around RMB 26,300 / ton and RMB 28,400 / ton respectively.

In Asian market, trader's faces lack of orders for nylon fabric and filament producers were also seeking price reductions for textile grade filaments, due to this filament producers have started to cut production rates.
