CPL prices rise again, Nylon chips stable

In Chinese market, Caprolactam (CPL) prices once again rose by RMB 100 / ton and new prices assessed around 19,500 / ton and its upstream product prices also followed upward trend. In international market, offers for CPL were few, but buying idea inched up to $2,300-2,330/ton.

Speculators do not expect a strong recovery in buying activity in the near feature as nylon downstream still remains week, as there are sufficient inventories among the consumers.

In Chinese market, Nylon chips prices remained stable around RMB 21,500 / ton. High inventory with the consumers has built pressure and is trying to pull down chip prices, but on other hand, falling chip supply and upward trend of upstream market is counteracting this downward pressure.

Prices of Nylon POY, FDY and DTY prices remained stable around RMB 24,800 / ton, RMB 25,800 / ton and RMB 28,200 / ton respectively. The short term feature for the Nylon Filament market is still far from cheering as main demand is expected to remain low.
