Condensate & Naphtha Forum from March 7–8 at Qatar

06
Jan '11
Qatar will once again play host to the 15th Annual Condensate & Naphtha Forum, when it is held from 7 – 8 March 2011, at the Grand Hyatt Doha. The Forum was last held in Doha in the year 2008.

Held under the Patronage of HE Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Premier, Minister of Energy & Industry, State of Qatar, the Forum is hosted under the auspices of Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd (Tasweeq), Qatar's independent stated-owned petroleum marketing company.

A premier platform for producers, sellers and buyers of Condensate and Naphtha, the Forum will discuss key issues and challenges facing the future of the industry. With Qatar set to become the condensate capital of the world, Middle East condensate supply is set to double in volume by 2015 due to massive investments in gas developments.

This condensate supply expansion over the next 5 years is likely to result in new condensate splitting capacity being built. Asia Pacific naphtha demand is expected to pick up over the next 5 years. China's consumption drive coupled with its planned ethylene plants, will bring Asia Pacific demand for naphtha to new heights.

The Forum will be inaugurated by HE Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, who will also be providing the Ministerial Address. This will be followed by Keynote Addresses, to be presented by Mr Saad Al- Kuwari, Acting CEO, Tasweeq and Mr Andy Brown, Managing Director-GTL Pearl, Qatar Shell Service Company, respectively.

The conference will be co-chaired by Dr Fereidun Fesharaki, Chairman, FACTS Global Energy Group, USA and Mr Alan Troner, President, Asia Pacific Energy Consulting Inc, USA. Other confirmed speakers include Mr Ivan Sandrea, Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Statoil Ltd, UK; Mr Fayez Majzoub, Head of Market Analysis, Dolphin Energy Ltd, UAE; Mr Sean Pitt, General Manager, Liquids Marketing, Woodside Energy Ltd, Australia; Mr Jeanbaptiste Roques, Senior Vice President, Purchasing & Base Chemicals Export, Samsung TOTAL Petrochemicals Co Ltd, Korea; Mr Shigeru Kikuchi, Manager, Crude Oil & Petrochemical Feedstock Sect., International Petroleum Business Department, Idemitsu Kosan Co. Ltd, Japan; Mr John Vautrain, Senior Vice President & Director, Purvin & Gertz Inc., Singapore; and Mr Paul Young, Executive Pricing Editor, ME & Asia, Platts, Dubai, UAE.

Condensate & Naphtha Forum 2011

• Outlook for Condensate Pricing and Opportunities in Pricing Volatilities
• Future Naphtha Availability & Its Impact on the Industry
• Growing Volumes of NGLs & LPG

On the sidelines of the conference, Tasweeq will be sponsoring the Condensate Golf Day, a nine-hole Executive Golf Game on 6 March 2011 at the Doha Golf Club, for all participants of the Forum.
